Traditionally in Slovenia we celebrate carnival time, when winter is thought to be frightened away by all of the masks and spring is welcomed in.... I went to a children's mask ball with my dautghter as a not very scary Ms. Mickey Mause and her little kid.... I dressed used as old black "Alice in Wonderland" style summer dress, old 30's cardigan that I bought ages ago on a flea market and made an apron from white linen and antique lace...this was teamed up by some fishnet tights and high heels as well as a black wig and a 2.99 EUR mickey mouse ears....the little one had a 10.99 EUR suit with big red trousers and white buttons and I made her a black cap from some scrap piece of black jersey, which she wore underneath her ears...The scarf was made from one of my old ones cut in half... it looks really cute on her, so this is now her new every day scarf....
